PERSON WITH DISABILITY GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

About :

The Persons with Disability (PwD) Grievance Redressal Cell of Government Women’s College, Balangir has been established to ensure an inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free environment for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities. The Cell addresses issues and grievances related to discrimination, inaccessibility, or any form of unfair treatment faced by persons with disabilities within the campus.

Objectives :

• To safeguard the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities in the college.
• To ensure compliance with the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
• To facilitate equal opportunities in academic and co-curricular activities.
• To make recommendations for improving accessibility and support services on campus.

Functions:

• Receive and address complaints or grievances from PwD students and staff.
• Liaise with the administration to implement disability-friendly measures.
• Organize sensitization and awareness programmes on disability inclusion.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide timely redressal of complaints.
