About the Department:

Home Science is an interdisciplinary field of study that focus on systematic & scientific approach. It includes various aspects of domestic life and management. It includes knowledge about food & nutrition, Clothing & textile, human development, extension education etc.

It is about home , health and happiness. Health & Happiness of each and every family members. It also helps to prepare us for any career or vocation. Today, men and women share the responsibility of a home and family equally. They need to prepare them equally in making the best use of the resources available to make their lives comfortable. Home Science means the art of managing our resources efficiently and the science of achieving a healthy and happy home as well as successful career.

Vision:

All round development of personality through qualitative teaching.
To develop moral values like that is needed to develop as a member of family.
To promote healthy life style having knowledge about nutrition, meal planning, communication, management etc.

Mission:

To provide scientific knowledge to perform household responsibilities.
