About the Department:

The Department of Physics was established in 2023 vide letter no. 8030/HE (HE-PTC-MISC-0011-2022), Dated: 23.02.2023 of Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. Currently, the department offers a three-year undergraduate course with a capacity to intake 32 students.

Vision:

To excel in Science and Technology by sparking the creativity of young minds with fresh ideas. We also aim to nurture a keen interest in science and a strong sense of social responsibility among students.

Mission:

• To provide excellent education in both theoretical and experimental physics, using effective teaching-learning methods.
• To encourage students to pursue higher education with integrity, skill, and a positive mindset.
• To promote a love for science among students through interactive sessions such as seminars, lectures, and study tours.

Infrastructure and Laboratories:

Having one large laboratory with the facility of conducting experiments in mechanics, electronics, thermal physics and optics. Very soon we are trying to provide the facility to conduct experiment in modern physics.

Future Plans: The future plan is to establish a well set up laboratory for undertaking practical by the students.
